Synopsis
Indu and Suman are fast friends. Indu is the only daughter of a Colonel and Suman of a school teacher. Suman is a homely and shy girl, but Indu is an extrovert who loved Karate and believed that “women are in no way inferior to men”.
Suman’s marriage is arranged with Brij, son of Lala Girdharilal. But, Lalaji takes the Baraat back because Masterji could not give them the Dowry they had demanded. Due to this embarassment, Masterji dies of shock leaving Suman orphaned in this cruel world. Indu gets agitated after witnessing such an episode. She takes a vow to take revenge from Lalaji and his family. She decides to get married to Brij - the same son of Lalaji - inspite of the fact that she was in love with Deepak.
Colonel Sahib helps with the dowry - an amount beyond their expectations and Indu becomes their ‘Bahu’.
Thereafter, the events that follow show how Indu takes her revenge! And how she makes their lives a living hell! How she makes them realise that it is the girl, not the dowry that makes the house a home ! |
