Is money a key to happiness…?
In the prequel – Herapheri, we met three characters – Raja, Shyam and Baburao Ganpatrao Apte, who were financially wrecked, struggling and surviving together and how they fell into a kidnapping plot because of the temptation to solve their financial mess but ended up getting caught in its web. But still their destiny blesses them with the hope of a better future.
The sequel – Phir Herapheri, begins from the point where the threesome end up getting lots of money. More money leads them to a greed to get even more money. Raju finds a shortcut – a deal offered from another wrong number. This one says that the money can be doubled in 21 days, but the minimum amount to be invested is one crore.
But they have only 30 lacs. They are so tempted to make easy money that they beg, borrow and steal to get the deal done. With dreams to be super rich in 21 days, reality comes crashing down for them on the 22nd day when they realize that they have been cheated. In no time, they land back to square one. Once more they have to live in a chawl and the people from whom they had borrowed are chasing them night and day. To solve this problem, they fall into a small Hera Pheri which guides them into a deep well of dilemmas yet again.
Whether they got out of the well of their troubles or not is the crucial story of Phir Hera Pheri. |
