Synopsis
In today's world, the very idea of sacrifices have become repugnant, due to man’s ever increasing selfishness. In India however, we still have a tradition of idolizing those who have dedicated their lives to the happiness of others. This is the story of a couple that made a supreme sacrifice.
Ramlal and Raju were two brothers. Ramlal and his wife Shanti brought up Raja as their own son and never turned down any of his requests. Hence when he fell in love with Maya – the educated daughter of Raisaheb – they were too happy to get him married. Although Shanti loved Raju immensely, she craved for a child of her own. Yet when she came to know that Maya was pregnant her joy knew no bounds. But soon it was revealed that after 14 years of married life Shanti too was going to be a mother and this news caused more rejoice.
Maya was taken to the Hospital for delivery. When Raju and his Bhabhi (Shanti) were going to meet her, Shanti met with an accident. Hence she too was brought to the hospital. There Shanti & Maya were both blessed with children, but Shanti’s child was a stillborn.
Raju was happy to be a father, but at the same time he was extremely worried about his Bhabhi. He wasn't sure whether she would be able to bear the shock of her child’s death? He thought of a plan and when he got consent of his wife both of them made a supreme sacrifice.
But did their sacifice bring happiness to the family or did it become the cause of further agony that led to bitterness and seperation of the two brothers?
