Synopsis
"I am poor, but my soul is kind", that is what Raja said to his friend Gopal...Gopal gave him the title ‘Bundal Baaz’.

Raja along with his friend Gopal and sweetheart Nisha were in the final year of College. Raja always believed in day-dreaming and told everyone that he was a rich man. Even his sweetheart Nisha believed him...But the fact was only known to Gopal. Ranjit, a student from the same college used to beat Raja – and Raja had sworn that he will hit him back one day!

After college was over, all the friends parted and when Raja came home he saw that his sister and Mausi had cut their expenses and sent Raja for his studies. Raja lamented – he left for the city and as fate had it – he had no job….no money! Raja was depressed.

Raja met a man called Suleman Chacha Dabba-Batliwala, who taught him ‘Work is Worship’ – big or small, a man must work. Thus, Raja decided that he will stop living in his dreams and face the facts and move with the present. Things became better...He sent money for his sister but the evil Lala of the village took it away as his interest.

One fine day, Raja finds a small bottle – It breaks – and there emerges from it a Genie. Now, if Raja wanted, he could have had anything. But he did not take advantage of the situation. The Genie always wanted to help Raja, but whenever he did anything, it resulted in the reverse and Raja got into trouble.

Raja went to tell his sweetheart Nisha the truth – But the Genie made a mess out of it - Nisha’s father got angry and decided to get Nisha and Ranjit married.

On the other side, Raja’s Mausi sends Malti, Raja’s sister to the city, as Lala had an eye on her. Malti came to Bobmay and was helped by two men, who were none other than Lala’s men! Lala tries to molest her but Raja with the help of the Genie and Gopal appear on the scene and Malti is saved. Raja then got Malti and Gopal married. Raja tells Nisha the truth and she tells Raju that she had loved him, not his wealth. Ranjit tries to kill Raja, but the Genie comes and saves him and gives Raja a ring which contains another Genie. But Raja throws the ring saying, "when one is trouble, what will happen if two come"! Ranjit gets the ring and makes use of it.

Ranit’s creditors come and tell Nisha’s father the truth about Ranjit. Nisha’s father decides to break the marriage. But Ranjit with the help of the second Genie takes Nisha & her father to ‘Patal Nagri’
